Objectives

  • To increase training in the United States and Europe.
  • To show that this knowledge, besides being a form of emotional therapy, may be a source for an income and profitable business.
  • To improve my techniques and learn new ones in other countries.
Experience
  • 1970 - 1992, Mexico City

    I used to work with all kind of handcrafts: wood, painting miniatures, jewelry, etc.
  • 1993 - To date, Mexico City

    I acquired a store in which we sell all kind of baking, candy making and confectioner items.

    I have taken courses on cake decorating, sugarpaste, baking, chocolate and artistic chocolate, jellies, bread, desserts, and much more concerning baking and confectionery.

    In 1994, I started teaching chocolate, Wilton Method Cake Decorating, Sugarpaste, Gingerbread, Artistic Gelatins, Molding Sugar, Gumpaste Figures and Flowers, Candy Making, etc., as well as elaborating all these products to deliver and to be sold at the store.
Courses

I have imparted about 200 courses to more than 1000 people. Most of the people are from Mexico City, and many are from other cities in the country. I have also taught persons fron other countries as Guatemala, Costa Rica and El Salvador.

I have also imparted courses in schools which are specialized in the same area and in bakery and confectiones shops.

  • Oct. 5, 1995
    Participation in the Gastronomic Fair at the Social Security Institute of Mexico.

    Participation in the Gastronomic Fair at the Social Security Institute of Mexico.
  • Nov. 29, 1997
    I won de first place at the First National Artistic Jelly Contest, in which I elaborated a rose in a three dimension gelatin.
  • Sept., 1998
    Demostrations at the Expo Pan, which es one of the biggest expos of its kind and is held every second year in Mexico City.
  • Sept., 2000
    Demostrations at the Expo Pan, which es one of the biggest expos of its kind and is held every second year in Mexico City.
  • Oct., 2000
    Demonstrations on cake decorating at the Mexipan, which es another big expo in Mexico City and is also held every second year at the WTC, Mexico.

    I continuously impart some instruction on the use of new materials to some well known bakery shops in Mexico City, such:

    • Pastelerķas Santo Domingo
    • Several small bakery shops.
  • April 24 to May 4, 2001
    I was invited to impart some demonstrations on chessecakes baking at the Culinary Festival in one of the most important stores in Mexico, called Liverpool. These classes were imparted every day during one week to each one of the 7 stores, to somewhere between 150 and 300 persons daily varying from store to store.

    • March 1995 to April 2000
      I appeared in 18 well known national tv shows, in the baking and cooking section.
    • Sept., 1997
      I made two national TV Shows sponsored by Jell-O (Kraft Foods), elaborating gelatins with their products.
    • Oct. – Nov., 1997
      I appeared in 15 programs en Cable TV, also in the cooking section of the national TV show.
    • Jan – Feb., 2002
      I appeared in 9 programs in a national TV Show. I was in charge of the bakery and desserts section which appeared each thursday.
    Publications
    • 1998-2003
      I have been invited by the editor of several magazines of national circulation to publish every month recipes with pictures in the magazines called “Postres y Dulces”, “Cocina Practica” , “Christmas Specials”, “Valentine’s Day Special”, “The Best Gelatins”, “Candy Making”, “Birthday Cakes”, and many other different titles. I have appeared in about 190 magazines.

      I am often asked by some of the baking and cake decorating merchandise importers, to make some demonstrations on new products, as well as to test new materials and to elaborate samples to make picture catalogues on cake decorating items.
